"Through simmered thoughts and memories I stumbled upon the remembrance of a daily groove - The simple act of buttering bread. Held in my hand - the heirloom bone-handled butter knife. It is the beginning of our morning and the end of our day. This small act holds within it the foundation of our routine. To yield the intimacy of the everyday."
"working primarily with oil pastels, acrylic paints, and photography allows me to move fluidly through my creativity. Thus being able to bring my innermost dialogue to canvas. My hope is to help gently guide the viewer through these works to find a deeper connection to themselves and the world around them."
Caitlin Works from her home-based studio where she currently resides in Te Mata a Maui. She aims to yield the intimacy of the everyday which is deeply reflected in her still life, landscape, and abstract works. In turn, she encapsulates the essence of the seasons of her life.
