Jason Jarrett is a film photographer born in Aotearoa, New Zealand. He currently resides with his partner, dog, and cat in Te Matau-a-Māui (Hawke's Bay). Living beside Haumoana beach, Jason explores the natural landscapes and the way in which people interact with the world. He resonates with the deliberate process of film photography: from loading film to selecting the appropriate composition to capture a feeling of nolstalgia. Film photography encourages him to live life at a relaxed pace so that details can be observed and appreciated. Light, pattern, angles, texture, and colour are all aspects that are well thought out in his format.
